It's time to update everyone on tentative sporting event activities.
Tennis: We need a reply from all players who wish to participate in a
tennis tournament Saturday afternoon, July 31st, between 4:30 and 6:00PM. A
tennis club adjacent to the hotel has allowed us to host a tournament at
their swanky private club. Cost is $10.00 per player which can be paid on
tournament day.
Golf: This year we're having a "glo-ball" tournament after dinner Saturday
night. Tee time around 10:15pm at the par-3 executive course next to the
tennis club. Cost: $25.00 per player (pays for lighting up the golf ball
and course with glo-sticks, and club rental. (bring your own clubs for a
better chance to win.......ha ha!!). Again, you can pay on tournament day.
Seriously, if you sign up (name and age please), please be definite on
participating. We don't have the luxury of backing out at the last minute.

As for other activities, we have the Saturday lunch cruise on John Wayne's
private boat, swimming at the hotel's 3 pools, shopping at nearby "Fashion
Island" shopping center, bicycling the Backbay in Newport and just plain
relaxing!
As meal menus and lodging plans get finalized, we'll post another update on
the website.
