Hi Family,
Hope all is well with you. It’s been busy back and forth with the hotel sales staff (catering and rooming), but we finally have some info for you to put on the website.
This year’s host hotel, “The Hyatt Newporter”, has blocked off rooms at the group rate of $149.00, single or double occupancy, one king or two doubles. All rooms are subject to 10% city tax, and charges to be paid upon checkout. Check in is 3 pm, Friday July 30th, and check out is 12 noon, Sunday August 1st. You can ask for late check-in when you book the room.
The block of rooms will be good until the end of June. After that, all unreserved rooms will be released back to the hotel. Reservations made after June will be at the hotel’s daily rate, but most importantly subject to availability. It is imperative that individuals make reservations ASAP because of the busy summer months (weddings, corporation beach parties, etc).
Family members will need to make reservations individually under the group name of “Leong Family Reunion” by calling the toll free number 1-800-233-1234 or 949-279-1239.
Please note that those who have already booked under a senior discount rate need not make any changes. Also, the last time we checked, there were no more senior discount rates available.
Following family members, please confirm to us by e-mail when you make your reservation (wdumbauld@hotmail.com), as we might have to increase the number of rooms blocked at the group rate
